Jeddah United Crowned Saudi Women’s U-17 First Division Champions

Jeddah United were crowned champions of the Saudi Women’s U-17 First Division League after defeating Najmat Jeddah in a closely contested final at King Abdulaziz University Stadium in Jeddah.


The match ended 1–1 in regular time, with both sides showing strong organization and discipline throughout. Clear chances were limited, and neither team was able to take full control of the game, sending the final to a penalty shootout.


Jeddah United held their composure in the decisive moments, converting from the spot to secure the title and complete a strong campaign.


Despite the defeat, Najmat Jeddah remained competitive throughout and pushed the game to its limits. Both teams will take positives from the tournament, as they secured promotion to the U-17 Premier League for next season.


In the third-place match, Al-Angaa defeated Manjaum Al-Mawahib 3–2 in an entertaining encounter that saw both sides create multiple chances.

Individual awards were also presented following the competition. Nada Al-Otaibi finished as the top scorer, Lina Jafar was named best player, and Ward Maharji received the best goalkeeper award.


The tournament represents another step forward for women’s football in Saudi Arabia, providing young players with valuable experience and a clear pathway to higher levels of the game.


What’s Next for Jeddah United

As champions of the inaugural First Division Youth League, Jeddah United now face the challenge of stepping up to the Premier Youth League. It will be a more demanding environment, with stronger opposition and higher expectations, but their performances this season suggest they are well prepared.


The squad that secured the title is young and talented, and now has valuable experience in high-pressure situations. That combination gives the team a strong foundation moving forward, and the club will look to build on this success as they prepare for the next level.
